Dear Parents/ Guardians

Firstly we would like to thank everyone who has supported our School Lotto. To date we have given out over €3,500 in prize money. We had two lucky winners that shared a jackpot of €1,450 - €725 each, on 31^st May last and the remainder was made up of the 84 winners who each won the “€25 Lucky Dip” prize.

We were also very lucky also to raise enough money to purchase a full set of guided reading books for the whole school. This set cost € 5,900.10. We would not have been able to buy this set of books without the help of the money raised from our School Lotto. These readers will help the children in the school to become stronger and more confident readers. The money that the lotto raises goes straight back to benefit ALL the children here in St. Bernadette’s S.N.S.

Secondly, we would like to draw your attention to a change in our School Lotto. We have decided to cap a prize fund per pot at €1,000. At present the prize fund stands at €1,050. As the lotto was not won last week, we will have two lotto draws on Friday. Lotto Draw One will have a jackpot of €1,000 and Lotto Draw Two will have a jackpot of €50 ( €50 will be added to this pot each week, if it is not won). The four numbers that you enter on your envelope for €2 will be entered into both draws. So it’s still the same, pick four numbers, for €2 but you are in two draws. Your chances of winning a prize have now doubled for the same amount.
